Organizers of the summer Olympiad 2008 in Beijing have changed watercourseof Wenyu River having dug 13 kilometer canal to the Chaobej river whichjoins the Olympic rowing canal. Last nine years Chaobej channel was dry. Theproject has come to the Chinese party 430 million yeans (57 milliondollars).
The Olympic rowing channel Shunyi has been constructed specially to theGames-2008 and represents a lake of the extended form (length - 3kilometers, volume - 1,7 million cubic meters).
China capital is located in the northern region of the country where duringlast several years the question of water supply became one of the mostserious. Authorities of China consider projects on change of the southernpart of the country rivers' channels, and also take measures on clearingnorthern rivers.
